The first book I read after the meetup outrage in February was Sworn In Secret , which detailed how the Knights Templar and Freemasons operated through secret societies. Since the ideas that we hold are too dangerous to the ruling establishment, I wanted to see if it would make sense for us to go underground as well. The book begins with the story of the Knights Templar. They were a secret group of militant monks who swore an oath to provide safe passage to Christians on their pilgrimages to the Holy Land after the first successful Crusade gave the Vatican control over Jerusalem.
Knights represent the active element of their suit, and this one, the Knight of Swords, is the most active of them all. Knights are ruled by the element of air, and so is the suit of swords. Therefore, this character is ‘air of air’, meaning that he lives life faster, harder and more intensely.

Longswords have long cruciform hilts with grips over 10 to 15in length providing room for two hands. Straight double-edged blades are often over 1 m to 1. The longsword is commonly held in combat with both hands, though some may be used single-handed.
Longswords are used for hewing, slicing, and stabbing. The specific offensive purpose of an individual longsword is derived from its physical shape. All parts of the sword are used for offensive purposes, including the pommel and crossguard. English Medieval and Renaissance manuscripts refer to the longsword as the two hand sword. The terms “hand-and-a-half sword”, “greatsword”, and “bastard sword” are used colloquially to refer to longswords in general. The longsword, with its longer grip and blade, appears to have become popular during the 14th century and remained in common use, as shown through period art and tale, from to The longsword was a powerful and versatile weapon.
For close personal infantry combat, however, the longsword was prized for its versatility and killing capability. Hand and a half swords were so called because they could be either a one or two handed sword. While nearly every longsword is in some way different from one another, most contain a few essential parts.

Cloud’s portrait in Before Crisis. I began to think I was different His father died when he was young and he was raised by his mother. Cloud had no close friends, and perhaps as a coping mechanism, convinced himself he was superior to the other village children and so didn’t care for their company. He had a crush on Tifa, but hated her friends, calling them immature. Although the two consider each other and are considered by others to be childhood friends, by Tifa’s own account they were not close growing up, despite him having been her neighbor.

As we begin to formulate a manifesto around the reinvigoration of masculinity , I believe that we, and society as a whole, need to devote a solid plank in our platform to white knight shaming. Simply put, I have come to believe that white knighting is the single biggest problem with modern men.
If we are to revive masculinity as a major contributor to fixing the degenerate Western world, white knight shaming must have a significant place in it. While smartphones and social media greatly enhance attention whoring capabilities, white knights are the buyers of what attention whores sell. We all know that this winter was particularly brutal for the Boston area, which received several feet of snow in very short order.
Economic activity shrunk drastically in the city and getting around was a massive inconvenience to everyone. Enter Susan Zalkind, a year-old Tinder user who came up with a brilliant idea — find some chump to shovel out her car from the snow. The arrogance of her request is clearly present in her tagline, and the entitlement apparent on her face.
You would think that no man would possibly respond to such an arrogant, entitled request. It is chumps like these that allow women to continue to behave in this manner.

Share2 Shares 5K Swords of renown are the seeds of legend. Fueled by tales of bloodshed and conquest, there have been swords throughout history that have grown to mythical proportions, blending fact and fiction until the two are all but inseparable. There will never be another weapon that has left a greater impact on history as the sword——some more than others. In a chapel in Monte Siepi, Italy lies an ancient sword embedded in stone that could be the key to deciphering the origin of the legend.
Arguing that the task would be as difficult as cleaving stone, Galgano attempted to prove his point by breaking his sword on a nearby rock. Legend says his blade cut into the stone as if it were butter. The sword in the stone still rests where Galgano left it behind, along with his worldly ways. After Saint Galgano was canonized, word of his holy sword spread quickly. Whether or not the sword in Italy belonged to Galgano has been called into question numerous times.

June 15, by Troi G. What is a Tarot Knight? Back in the day, when Britain was feudal, divided into realms, medieval knights were warriors who had proved themselves in battle. They were rewarded with land and charged with looking after and defending their domain. They also had to be ready to heed the call of battle at any time when the King decided he wanted to invade some far off land. Although not viewed as very high up the nobility scale, knights developed a code of chivalry.
They had to swear to remain loyal to the values of honor, loyalty, and faith. In the tarot, there are four knights who rank between the young Pages and the matriarchal Queens. Knights have their code of conduct as perceived through the lens of their suit. The suit, as with all the cards, is their defining modus operandi. It dictates how they behave, how they view the world and how they interact with others.
It could also be a call to action, a mission to accomplish, or even that the seeker should take on board some of those knightly qualities themselves.

For when you want to cook your enemies really fast. The knights are affiliated with, or in some cases part of, the Adeptus Mechanicus rather than being part of the greater Imperium’s war machine. Knight Worlds are worlds which supply Forge Worlds with foodstuff and raw materials, specifically those worlds defended by Knight Households. The Knight World gathers foodstuff and ores for a set period of time usually a year before the Adeptus Mechanicus arrive in a drop ship, occaisonally bringing new knight suits in exchange for the raw materials.
Knight Worlds themselves are typically Feudal Worlds, which were easily brought into compliance during the Great Crusade, and which explains the rather aristocratic tone about the Knights. Knight World politics is fueled by the constant resource tithes and the possession of Knight Titans. Any kingdom that possesses a Knight Titan could absolutely smash a kingdom without one, so it behooves a kingdom to concede to being tithed in exchange for the relatively ultimate weapon.
Once any given feudal kingdom has become a Knight Household, any Household that has more Knights is a huge threat, so getting more is always important. By the time that the escalation becomes preposterous these Households are already shipping knights of-world to cruise the stars and fighting things, so the extra-planetary losses constantly need to be replenished, lest the Households lose their on-world detachments to off-world conflicts.
All that said, Knight Worlds tend to exist rather happily alongside their Forge World; Mechanicus get a defensive buffer and food forever, and the Knight Households get to continue ruling their chunks of the planet. Or all of the planet, depending on how far you can stretch a feudal society. During the Epic days Knights were a complete fabrication by the Adeptus Mechanicus, supplied as battle fleets where the Imperial armies are in need of them, much like a Titan Legion is.
Knights were a gimmick, given to Feudal Worlds that the Mechanicum settled near in exchange for getting shipments of food, manpower, and raw materials. This simplistic lore is no longer the case ; apparently the original Knight Worlds were not the Mechanicus’ idea.
